Are Dreams Relevant Today?

“And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of My Spirit upon all flesh; and your old men shall dream dreams…”

ARE DREAMS RELEVANT TODAY?

Dreams are gifts from God and those who regard them shall reap the benefits. God has used dreams to communicate with His people from the beginning. It is God’s primary means of communication by which He gives directions and instructions. We are also able to know our spiritual status by what we see or experience in our dreams.

Numbers 12:6

And he said, Hear now my words: If there be a prophet among you, I the Lord will make myself known unto him in a vision, and will speak unto him in a dream.

Dream: According to Webster’s dictionary, a dream is a sequence of images, etc. passing through a sleeping person’s mind.

Vision: “A mental image”. (Webster’s dictionary)

1. God communicates with mankind through dreams.

2. He guides and counsels us through dreams.

3. He grants us gifts in our dreams.

4. He establishes covenants with us through our dreams.

5. He utilized dreams from Genesis to Revelation. He will continue to use them in the last days.

6. Dreams are a sure way God has chosen to communicate with us and they must be given great weight.
