One hundred and forty-four thousand

The true bride of Christ. The 144,000 are the virgins who have extra oil in their lamps. They are a special group of end time people who have, in their lives truly become married to Christ in their walk and they are holy before the throne of God, because they have fully submitted their lives to Christ and are united with Him. They walked with Christ closely and were soldiers while on the earth. Unlike the civilian Christians (sleeping virgin), they didn't just have oil in their lamps, they had extra oil.
The general body of believers in the churches who are saved are the great multitude of Revelation 7:9, not the 144,000.
The virgins are those who have not been defiled by the apostate church. They hear the voice of the Shepherd and follow Him closely. They are Bereans. They have not made an idol of any 'man of God' or 'denomination'.
'Then I looked, and behold, a Lamb standing on Mount Zion, and with Him one hundred and forty-four thousand, having His Father’s name written on their foreheads. And I heard a voice from heaven, like the voice of many waters, and like the voice of loud thunder. And I heard the sound of harpists playing their harps. They sang as it were a new song before the throne, before the four living creatures, and the elders; and no one could learn that song except the hundred and forty-four thousand who were redeemed from the earth. These are the ones who were not defiled with women, for they are virgins. These are the ones who follow the Lamb wherever He goes. These were redeemed from among men, being first fruits to God and to the Lamb. And in their mouth was found no deceit, for they are without fault before the throne of God.' Revelation 14:1-5
These 144,000 virgins are blameless. They've gone through the purifying fire of the Lord. They have been made perfect and holy through sanctification. They left a life of sin and are dead to sin.
(Rev. 7: 4, Rev 7:9, Rev 14:1-5, Rev 15:2)
