Dream Interpretation of Brown

Brown: Also Tan

Repentance or turning from dead works.

To see brown leaves is symbolic of Green life turned dead;

Dead works are represented by wood, hay and straw (brown). The wicked are described as chaff from straw or stubble. (Isa 5:24, 33:11, 40:24)

The altar for sacrifice had a framework of acacia wood overlaid with bronze (Exod 27:1-20) and the altar of incense was acacia wood overlaid with gold (Exod 30:1-3). The ark of the covenant (Exod 25:10) and the table (Exod 25:23) for the bread were of similar construction, wood overlaid with gold.

Symbolically, we see that which is corruptible, 'fleshly nature' represented by wood (brown) and made acceptable and fit for the Holy place by being overlaid with gold, representing faith.
