* New cleared land: New place of ministry.
* Land covered in root crops: Fruitful work of the ministry.
* Bare earth: dust: Cursed; state of being humbled.
* Neglected, unwanted land: Unresponsiveness to the calling and conviction of the Holy Spirit.
