TIPS FOR REMEMBERING DREAMS

1. Ask God to speak to you through dreams as you fall asleep.

2. Put your notepad beside your bed and immediately record your dream upon awakening. God loves good stewardship.

3. Get rid of your alarm clock.

4. Many dreams come at the last hour of the morning. Whenever you awaken, learn to stay back in bed for a few minutes. Don’t rush out of bed. If you wait until after you brush your teeth, you may have already forgotten many dreams.

5. As you are lying still in the morning, try to recall one or two of the details in your dream and then the rest of the dream will often come.

TIPS FOR RECEIVING DREAMS

1. Ask the Lord to speak to you in the night.

2. Develop a bedtime routine that focuses on the Lord. For example, bible readings, praying, meditating on the word, worship music, listening to sermons, etc.

3. Avoid going to bed straight from secular TV shows.

4. Avoid secular media as this may often lead to junk dreams.

OBSERVATIONS

90% of your dreams will be about you – your current situations, your inner man, and your relationships. Your dreams come from your heart and will express the things that are important to your heart. Perhaps only 10% of your dreams are about others. Dreams about others are shared publicly much more often than dreams about self.

Clues which indicate your dream may be about others:

1. The dream does not fit your life.

2. You are an observer of the action.

WORD OF CAUTION

You need to spend time with the Lord to seek interpretations. Let the interpretations and ideas on this site motivate and inspire you to seek the Lord more.

Also, everybody dreams, but not all dreams are prophetic in nature or from the Lord. Those receiving special dreams from the Lord are sensitive about it and understand the need to interpret them.
